About Porous Pipe
Your Trusted Partner in Sub-Surface Irrigation Solutions
OMON Porous Pipe is a low-flow, low-pressure irrigation system that delivers water directly into the soil, allowing moisture to spread naturally at a rate the soil can absorb.
It helps maintain consistent soil moisture, supports healthy root growth, and reduces the repeated wet and dry cycles that can affect plant development.
Made from recycled rubber and thermoresins, OMON Porous Pipe is generally installed 8–12 inches below the soil surface or beneath the ploughing depth, depending on the type of soil and field conditions.
As a Sub-Surface Irrigation (SSI) system, OMON Porous Pipe delivers water below the surface, helping reduce water loss through evaporation and runoff while minimizing salt deposits on the soil surface.
Unlike many conventional micro-irrigation systems, OMON Porous Pipe can remain in place throughout plantation, inter-cultivation, and harvesting.

Why Choose OMON Porous Pipe?
Reduced Weed, Disease, and Pest Problems
OMON Porous Pipe delivers water below the soil surface, helping reduce weed growth and certain disease and pest problems associated with surface watering.
Protection from External Damage
Its underground installation helps protect OMON Porous Pipe from damage caused by wild boars, rats, dogs, deer, fire, and other external factors.
Irrigation Across Large Areas
With an adequate water supply and suitable system design, OMON Porous Pipe can irrigate more than 100 acres simultaneously. Its low-pressure operation can help reduce the need to divide the field into multiple irrigation zones.
Long Service Life
OMON Porous Pipe is designed for long-term use, with an expected functional life of approximately 15 years, depending on installation and operating conditions.
Minimal Labour Requirements
The OMON Porous Pipe Sub-Surface Irrigation (SSI) System requires minimal labour for routine operation, helping save time and reduce ongoing maintenance efforts.
Reduced Risk of Clogging
Since OMON Porous Pipe is installed below the soil surface and protected from direct sunlight, the risk of salt deposits and related clogging issues is reduced.
Benefits
Benefits of OMON Porous Pipe
- Eco-Friendly Material: Made from recycled rubber, OMON Porous Pipe offers a more sustainable approach to irrigation.
- Low-Pressure Operation: Works efficiently with low water flow and pressure requirements.
- Underground Installation: Installed 6–18 inches below the soil surface, depending on soil type and application.
- Direct Root-Zone Irrigation: Delivers water close to plant roots, encouraging deeper root growth and healthier plant development.
- Consistent Soil Moisture: Helps maintain steady moisture levels in the soil, reducing the stress caused by repeated wet and dry cycles.
- Improved Crop Production: Supports healthy plant growth and can help improve the yield of crops, vegetables, and fruits when used appropriately.
- Reduced Water Loss: Delivers water below the soil surface, helping minimize water loss through evaporation and runoff.
- No Seasonal Reinstallation: The system can remain underground during harvesting and crop rotation, eliminating the need to remove and reinstall the pipes for these activities.
